Skip the Spa. The Avenue may be a very good Salon for hairstyling. I think however, that having massage oils and a few tables makes them think they are a spa as well. This could not be further from the truth. If you want someone to simply rub scented oil on your body, this is your place. If you're looking for a massage that you can actually feel....please save your money and your time and go elsewhere. The person doing my massage has worked there for three years, so I know she was not a novice. However, she could not have been less skilled in her work. A full body massage to her meant up to the knee on both legs and the upper back. She did massage my scalp, but amounted mostly to messing my hair up rather than offering any real value.

There are many other places in the area that will offer you some real benefit for the hour invested. The Avenue's Spa is not one of them. It's skill is to massage the money from your wallet with little in return.

Great service past the front desk. The Avenu is not a bad place. They do have stylists there who know how to cut your hair the way that you would like. Not all stylists there can though...we have had a few bad expierences. Nothing too major. Most of the staff are great, friendly and well trained in there special area. There are however a few ladies at the front desk who are not professional and do tend to attempt to talk down to you among other things if there is a problem. I have dealt with this for years, it had only become a large problem the last 2-3 years. I have been a loyal customer for nine years, spent thousands of dollars there and yet due to an error that encountered I was treated with disrespect, reluctance to fix the problem and that my loyal customer support over the years were meaningless. It is nice to know that after all the time and money spent there as I customer I never really mattered anyway-Thank you Avenu!

Simply the Best. Beautiful spa and a wonderful, relaxing massage! Massage therapist was very respectable and did a great job. The price is definitely great for the level of service.

They also have amazing customer service at the reception desk, I am offered coffee or ice/lemon water every time!

I have very thick hair and lots of natural curl. I had tried salon after salon in Saginaw and couldn't find a soul to tame my locks. I had all but given up, until I found The Avenue. The Stylist are always creative, listen well, and keeps my style up-to-date and edgy while keeping in mind that I work in a professional environment. The staff at The Avenue are so friendly and helpful, you really do feel like part of their family. I have sent many of my close friends in, and now I suggest you do the same!
