Good accommodations...but very pricey by Courtney V. at InsiderPages

We stayed here for friends' wedding in June of 2005. Our room was very nice, we had a balcony view of the river, and we were allowed to check in early. It was clean, and the hotel staff was very polite.

I didn't particularly like the policy where they charge your CC the entire cost of the room one month AHEAD of time if you reserved over the phone. In order to get the wedding party rate that our friends were quoted, we had to reserve over the phone, as the website doesn't/can't/won't find group rates.

The restaurants were beyond expensive for what you received, food wise.

We will very likely stay here again as a weekend getaway because it is very convenient to get to from our house, and the rooms are very nice. We will not be eating at the lodge though, its just far too expensive for the quality and quantity.

PROS: Excellent accommodations, family fun center, many pools

CONS: A little expensive; on-site restaurants are ridiculously expensive!

Best service in the business.

Just celebrated our twentieth wedding annv. at the lodge ,the third week in July. The rooms were fantastic and clean as a whistle ,also. You will never get the attention to detail anywhere else like this . We had great dinners and breakfasts right on the prop. The pools and hottubs were outta this world. By all means check this place out. We have been going here for years and it just gets better every time. By the way, try the tower suites out , Great.........cubsguy.
